Things to know for your appointment

Veterinarian Approval

You need approval from your vet before booking any treatments.

No Fly Spray

Fly spray makes your horses coat very difficult to stick things to and we need to connect electrodes and make sure they stay there so save the fly spray until after the appointment.

No Wet Horses

Water is conductive and we are using electricity. Your horse needs to be completely dry for treatment.

No Baths

Give your horse some time after treatment before you give them a bath. Again- water is conductive! If you bath a horse immediately following treatment you will pull any residual charge away from the treatment area.

Riding

Think of each treatment like a massage. Would you get a massage and then go work out? Probably not so we want to provide our horses with that same courtesy.

When beginning treatments in those first sessions we want to keep riding to a minimum or not at all. Once treatments have been established we want to give the horse a few hours between treatment and work.
